Build your skills with courses on everything from Python to project management to pedagogy

Interested in quantitative methods? Check out ICSPR's summer offerings. In-person programming at the University of Michigan and virtual options are available.

Engaged with book history? Rare Book School has a wide range of workshops this summer in person (various locations) and online. One course of interest: Using Digitized Manuscripts. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.

This summer, the Digital Humanities Summer Institute will run two weeks of workshops: June 3–7 and June 10–14. Most programming takes place at the University of Victoria (Canada), with lectures available online. Regular registration ends June 1.

At the same time, the University of Pisa is hosting Digital Tools for Humanists: Working with AI from June 3–12. The application deadline is April 30.

Meanwhile, the Dream Lab over at UPenn's Price Lab for Digital Humanities is offering its annual summer workshop from June 10–13. Among the courses: Black Speculative Digital Arts and Humanities, Creative Coding, and Humanities Mapping.

Later this summer, Digital Humanities @ Oxford Summer School, this year at Saint Anne's College, will run from August 12–16. Online options are also available!

Conferences

Learn about the latest in the field and connect with others engaged with, or interested in, computational humanities

Kick off your summer with our local Keystone DH Conference from May 20–22! The conference theme? Play (seriously!). The location? Penn State Erie, The Behrend College (okay, not that local, but still).

This year's DARIAH Annual Event will be in Lisbon from June 18–21! The theme is Workflows: Digital Methods for Reproducible Research Practices in the Arts and Humanities. The keynote speaker: CDH Faculty Director Meredith Martin!

For late summer, check out the annual conference of the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO) from August 6–9 in Arlington, VA. The theme for DH2024 is Reinvention & Responsibility. Many CDH staff will be presenting their work at the conference (details to come). We hope we'll see you there!

Also of interest is a mini-conference hosted at the same time by DHTech: DH Inside Out.
