Directed by Lydia Liu (Computer Science), the Princeton HAIKU Lab studies human-AI collaboration in consequential decision-making, using computational modeling, statistical evaluation, and sociotechnical analysis to design AI systems that advance equitable societal outcomes. The lab's current work investigates how AI systems handle long-range dependencies in sequential data generation and prediction, spanning life course modeling and fictional narrative structure, through cross-disciplinary collaborations with social scientists and humanists.
