Ray Thornton

Ray Thornton is a PhD candidate in African history. Ray's dissertation engages with an eclectic range of sources including oral histories, children’s writing, and school architecture to explore the links between the history of education and children’s rights in late 20th century Kenya. More broadly, Ray is interested in transnational approaches to the histories of childhood, sexuality and law in Africa.
