Jamie O'Connell

Jamie O’Connell is a PhD student in the Department of Near Eastern Studies working primarily on Zoroastrian texts and manuscripts. Her dissertation research focuses on a corpus of Persian-language letters and religious treatises exchanged between the Zoroastrian communities of India and Iran from the late fifteenth to late eighteenth centuries. As a CDH fellow, Jamie will develop a database of individuals involved in the production of these letters (including addressees, signatories, scribes, and messengers) in order to better understand the processes by which they were written and disseminated.
