Mengge Cao
Mengge Cao is a Ph.D. candidate in Art and Archaeology. Mengge's dissertation research explores the relationship between the painting's physical formats and the historical viewership in the Southern Song dynasty (1127-1279). The DH project aims at achieving a better understanding of the corpus of Southern Song small-size paintings by combining art historical methods and distant viewing technologies.
