April 29 is Day of DH!
The annual event, a project of centerNet, invites DH experts and enthusiasts around the world to share how they work and what they're working on. The 2021 theme is Multilingual Digital Humanities.
For this year's Day of DH, we are partnering with our friends at the Rutgers Digital Humanities Initiative and the Trico Digital Scholarship Group (Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, and Swarthmore College) to celebrate mid-Atlantic DH. Join us on Twitter (@PrincetonDH), where we will be chatting about multilingual DH all day. Tag your posts with #DayOfDH2021 and #MidAtlanticDH and add a link if you can—we can't wait to learn more about your projects!
The event comes as the CDH is gearing up to host the first session of New Languages for NLP: Building Linguistic Diversity in the Digital Humanities in June. The series of workshops, supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities, is co-directed by CDH Associate Director Natalia Ermolaev and Andrew Janco (Haverford College). We are also hard at work on our research partnership with the Princeton Geniza Project, which centers on documents written in Judaeo-Arabic, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Arabic.
Hope you'll join us!
