To look critically at digital technology is necessarily to look critically at culture. Following Alan Liu’s call for cultural criticism in the digital humanities, this paper explores how the critical curation of digital tools can lead to a cultural critique of a hegemonic Silicon Valley ideology, and a productive self-criticism within the digital humanities.
