Stephanie Luescher is a Ph.D. student in the Near Eastern Studies department. Her research focuses on social and cultural history and the archival practices of premodern urban Middle Eastern societies, particularly those of Damascus and Cairo. She has previously worked with certificates of audition and used digital humanities tools to analyze patterns of participation of women and children at ḥadīth reading sessions.
She is the Project Manager for the CDH-Princeton Geniza Project Research Partnership directed by Marina Rustow.
