DESCRIPTION:\n\n  The 29th Annual Conference of the African Language Teach
 ers Association (ALTA) is hosted by Princeton University. The conference i
 s an annual gathering of African language educators\, researchers\, studen
 ts\, and community partners to build African language pedagogy by sharing 
 their research\, experiences\, and best classroom practices.\n\n\n\n  In t
 he current digital environment\, language technologies have grown exponent
 ially\, yet African languages remain underrepresented. To address this dis
 parity\, the theme for the 2026 ALTA conference is “Reimagining African 
 Language Pedagogy in the Digital Age.” Teachers\, researchers\, technolo
 gists\, and community educators will share their work pertaining to Africa
 n language teaching in the digital environment and the connected classroom
 . Topics focus on research\, classroom practices\, tools\, datasets\, or c
 ommunity collaborations\, and especially work centering on underrepresente
 d languages\, historical languages\, and learner accessibility.\n\n\n\n\n
